Workers’ Compensation Procedures

At Liberty Hill ISD, the well-being of our staff is a top priority. It’s important to promptly report any on-the-job injuries to your campus nurse and/or direct supervisor.

[If the incident is life-threatening, please call 911 and notify your immediate Supervisor. Once you are stabilized, please complete the necessary forms from your Workers’ Compensation packet.]

Please follow the steps below to report a workplace injury:

  • Report the injury to the Campus Nurse and/or Supervisor
  • Complete the First Report of Injury & HIPPA forms within 24 hours of injury/incident and return it to your Campus Nurse/Supervisor.
  • Stay in touch with the Campus Nurse/Supervisor and HR Department to provide updates and any forms you receive from your doctor.

The Liberty Hill Workers’ Compensation Policy can be found using following links: DEC LocalDEC Legal, and CRE Legal policies, for more information.

Workers’ Compensation is not job protection. To secure job protection, employees must apply for FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) by messaging the benefits team here.

Workers’ Compensation can help cover medical expenses and may provide temporary income benefits. Additionally, employees have the option to utilize their available paid leave for medical appointments or for recuperation from a work-related injury.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jennifer Daugherty, Compensation Coordinator at 512-260-5580 or message the workers compensation team here.
